My enviro camp

A couple of weeks ago me and 3 other people from my school went up to Arthurs pass for 3 days and 2 nights with 13 other schools. It was an enviro camp so we did lots of outdoor activities and enviro stuff.  My favorite part was when we were holding a big signal thing and trying to track a transmitter. My group didn't actually end up finding our transmitter but we did find a longggg lost kiwi transmitter from the male kiwi Kahua that cost nearly $400. It was a lot of fun and I would definitely like to go back!!!!!

I'm the one in the bright blue raincoat!

Term 3 reflection

WALT to reflect on term 3.
Today is the last day of term 3 so we had to make this slide to reflect on what we have done. I enjoyed taking the photos. I found it challenging to find the Kapa Haka videos so I couldn't put them on. Next time to be BTB (Better Than Before) I could get the Kapa Haka videos.

Secrets my Mum does all day when I'm not around

We had to do a speech to present in front of the senior school. This is mine.

Secrets my Mum does all day when I’m not around.
Hi everyone, Today I’m here to talk about something horrible yet amazing. Something so rude yet so funny something so … Okay I’ll tell you… I’m talking about my Mum. My Mum, as amazing as she is, can sometimes be a bit secretive, for instance she hides her money, the TV remote and my socks!!! I mean come on guys have you ever had 2 socks go in the washing machine and only 1 come out. Some people think it’s the sock theory but not me. I just think it’s my Mum making me go to school with odd socks and getting completely embarrassed. And it’s basically a miracle finding 2 socks. Okay so first I want to talk about how my Mum sneaks into my 4 year old brother’s lollie stash. I mean come on Mum that's my job. First she waits till we are out of the house and then she attacks like a savage monkey. She leaps  into the cupboard and starts eating all the lollies. The thing is my Mum does not know that my brother loves his lolly stash so much and always eats lollies out of it just before dinner. And then when Charlie finds out that there’s none left he’s gonna throw a huge tantrum.
Trust me Mum’s gonna be sorry.
And you know another horrible thing she does, She goes shopping without me!!!! I mean that is so rude. She buys all this fancy stuff and hides it in her cupboard along with everything else that she sneaks.
And back to the TV remote, she decides she wants to take it while we are watching TV just so “ We don't lose it.” But who would expect a 4 year old, a 7 year old, a 9 year old and a 10 year old to lose a Tv remote… Oh wait never mind... And you know the absolute worst thing she does… She goes to the supermarket and spoils herself rich with junk food without ME… How could anyone forget me. But luckily my mum would never do anything like that because she’s amazing and I love her.  She does amazing things like put a roof over our head, put food on our plates and share all her love with us. Wait till next time to hear about my Dad… Now that would be a good story. Thank you for listening to the one and only Bella Masters!!!!

My trip to A&E

On Monday I was having a bath and I decided I wanted to hop out. I stood up and shook my foot to get the water off. Then all of a sudden my foot stabbed into the top bit of the tap* and it went in really deep. I had to pull it out and that hurt really bad. All of a sudden I started yelling and crying. Luckily it didn't bleed too much. My Mum came running in and took a while to decide what she'd do with me. Then she finally decided I should go to the hospital. The whole ride there I was crying. Then when we got there it wasn't busy so we went in about 15 mins after we arrived. The doctor gave me butterfly stitches and put some nice comfy padding on. After we left we decided it was so late that we should just get McDonald's. My foot is still really sore. The moral of this recount is to never shake your foot so hard that it could stab into the tap.

My candy tower

WALT to make a really tall candy tower.
On Thursday, The last week of school, Me, the one in the back, and my friend made a candy tower. We had to try to use science to keep it up and it only just stayed up. We used raw spaghetti and poked the lollies through the spaghetti. It was annoying because the spaghetti kept snapping.  We used lollies and toothpicks to help keep it up by putting the toothpick in the lollies and the other side of the toothpick to keep the marshmallows up. I found it challenging to keep the tower up. I enjoyed eating it at the end. Next time to be BTB (Better Than Before) Lucy and I will not use spaghetti to keep it up... we'll use skewers.
