How to play Colour twist

 How to play Colour Twist

Goal:
To get back to the class first with five different colour stones

Equipment:
4 different coloured stones. The colours are White, Black, Blue and Yellow.

How to play:
2 people go and hide a bunch of different coloured stones around the school. Everyone else goes and hides while the 2 taggers go and count to 30 sec. Everyone tries to get 4 different colours of the stones and if you get found by the tagger then you have to go back to home base ( A.K.A ) the classroom and wait 30 sec and then you can go back out. If you get found you have to drop all of your stone and anyone can pick them up. You cant have 2 of the same colours and if you do you have to go back to home base for 30 sec. There is one multi coloured stone and if you find it then it is 3 colours in one. Do not throw the rocks on the ground

Wellington camp 2019

We learnt how to use Google MyMaps and then we got to look closely at our own environment and locate landmarks. For each landmark we found we had to name it, write something about it and find an image of it so that the pin on our map had information on it. This is my finished map of Wellington. Have you ever used MyMaps to locate places in your community?

WALT create a piece of music to explain camp. When we were in Wellington we went to Capital E. It was really fun and we got to use computers. If you want to see the music I made when I was up there you just need to scroll down a little bit and its titled Creating Music at Capital E. This music is what I made when I was back in school to explain camp. The classical end bit is to show the ride on the ferry back home and also the drive to Greymouth because we were all pretty tired.  I made my music because camp was really crazy and fun and quite weird. I hope you like it. Click on the link above to listen to my music.

Bella and Clara's Hints and Tips for non-rubbish lunchboxes

WALT encourage people to have an environmental lunchbox. I found it challenging thinking up environmental ideas for your lunchbox.

Creating music at Capital E

https://drive.google.com/file/d/15HJnLDeKGi9ruvYHUIwBhlrS1JVfFL3I/view?usp=sharingWhile we were in Wellington for our school camp we went to a place called Capital E. When we were at Capital E we made music on computers. The thing I found most challenging was finding the right piece of music. Me and my friend worked together and its a comedy piece. The thing I enjoyed the most was laughing so hard when we were listening to this funny song. It was really fun and if you wanna listen to me and my friend's music then click on the link above.
These are photos of me and my friend creating our music.

Composting

WALT Share Paroa schools current composting situation
We did it to show that our compost isn't what we want it to be so we are trying to get more people to compost and help the WORLD.
I enjoyed dressing up and I found it challenging trying not to drop my Chromebook in the compost bin.
To be BTB (Better Than Before) I  think we needed to be a bit faster because it took us 2 days to make it.

Wellington camp

As I climb I can feel my hands slipping off the plastic rocks. I am hanging backwards and clinging on for dear life. As I grab onto my rope I hear the professional rock climbers yelling out to let go of the rope and hold onto the plastic rocks. I start sweating really bad. "My arms are killing me," I think slowly. I take a big leap to get to the next plastic rock. "Go Bella, you can do this" I hear my friends shout. I concentrate hard on their words as I heave myself up to the next plastic rock as I try to build up my grip. I take another leap and find myself where the hook that you need to unhook is. I am trying to keep my grip but my hands keep slipping. I want to take a break but I think "You can do it Bella. Just remember what your friends said." I take one more go and then start thinking "I'm really tired my arms are dying and I wanna fall asleep and rest," Then all of a sudden I shout out "Could you please lower me down." "Are you sure." I hear back. "Yes, I'm positive." "If you wish." I hear again. I put my legs out and feel myself getting lowered down till I'm sitting on the floor. I stand up and while I'm unclipping the harness I say "I'm definitely going to have another shot at the overhang next time I come up to Wellington!"

This is the overhang that I climbed on. I have no pictures of me climbing it though and that's not the full overhang cause it goes higher but it was still really fun.
